We check in every three months — not just at installation
Most solar customers install and forget. Problems compound quietly for months before showing up as an unexpectedly high electricity bill. Zoom’s quarterly review catches issues before they cost you.
Generation data review
We compare your system's actual output against expected production for your location, season, and system size. A 10% deviation triggers an investigation.
Bill comparison
We review your electricity bills against expected savings. If your bills aren't dropping as projected, we identify whether it's a system issue or a tariff/consumption change.
Early fault detection
Inverter underperformance, panel degradation, and shading changes are caught early — before they compound over months of lost generation. We flag the issue and coordinate next steps.

Aftercare Questions
The monitoring platform depends on the equipment fitted. Sigenergy systems use the SiG app; FoxESS systems use the FoxESS monitoring portal. Both provide live generation, home consumption, battery state, and grid import/export data on your phone. Zoom configures this at installation and verifies it's transmitting correctly before we leave site.
Zoom's quarterly review will catch this before it becomes a long-term problem. Common causes: panel soiling or bird activity (usually a cleaning issue), partial shading from new growth, inverter underperformance, or a panel fault. We diagnose remotely first, and dispatch a technician if needed under warranty.
Physical damage from storm, hail, or impact is a home and contents insurance matter, not a product warranty claim. Quality CEC-accredited installation practices ensure your system is mounted to survive normal Australian weather conditions. Notify Zoom if you experience a major weather event — we can assess and document any damage for your insurer.
Very little. Panels are self-cleaning in most Australian climates — rain handles the majority of it. A gentle hose-down twice a year is sufficient in dustier areas. Keep an eye on your monitoring app for unexpected drops. Zoom handles the rest through quarterly reviews. The system is designed to run without significant owner involvement.
